We provide the following routine histological methods, in an ISO-accredited diagnostic laboratory:
Paraffin Processing – Formalin fixation and paraffin processing of human and animal tissues. Acid/EDTA decalcification techniques are available for calcified tissues.
Embedding – Creation of paraffin wax blocks (FFPE) with tissue embedded in required orientation.
Microtomy (FFPE) – Cutting of thin tissue sections from a paraffin block to mount on glass microscope slides.
Cryotomy (Fresh Tissue) – Specialised preparation and cutting of orientated fresh frozen tissue.
Special stains – Large repertoire of special stains to identify specific tissue structures, pigments, minerals and microorganisms. Please click here for full repertoire (insert link).
